The idea behind the application for JKS Electricals was to produce an automated, and digital, product list of which employees can use when pricing up a job. The application itself works entirely from a changeable list of products using basic syntax for headers and sub-headers as well as the buttons themselves. The employees can use this on designated tablets or their phones in order to quickly note down the required materials for a job, which is then emailed to their boss, or can be saved for later. This included a lot of file management for the saving, loading and general performance of the application.
Suplex is a simple application that allows for duplex printing (double sided) on suplex (single sided) printers. I decided to take this project on whilst printing off some revision resources for my ICT course. The document I intended to print was around 40 pages, meaning that it could use 20 sheets of paper if it were double sided; however my printer did not have this capability. I used the iTextSharp .NET library to parse and read the PDF files so that they could be handled before printing off the different sides. I have found myself using this a lot since I made it for myself and it was entirely accidental!
